2 Students injured in Texas high school shooting

An early morning shooting outside Lamar High School in Arlington Texas sent two students to the hospital.

According to authorities, the shooting happened on campus outside the school building around 6:55 a.m., School starts at 7:35 a.m. so not all students were on campus at the time of the shooting. Reportedly the suspected shooter never actually entered the school building.

Two students were injured. One student was injured by the actual gunfire, the other by debris. Both received medical attention. There is no official word on their condition at the time of posting this article.

The suspected shooter, also a student, was taken into custody without incident when police arrived on the scene.
