Michigan State apologizes for displaying image of Adolf Hitler at stadium

Michigan State University has issued an apology after an image of Adolf Hitler was displayed on Spartan Stadium’s video board just before the game against Michigan.

The image, accompanied by a trivia question answer about Hitler’s birthplace, appeared on social media and drew widespread criticism. The university has stated that the offensive content came from a third-party source, and they will no longer use that source while also implementing more rigorous screening and approval procedures for video board content in the future.

The image was displayed on the stadium’s scoreboard 80 minutes before the Saturday night game. Michigan State University expressed its regret for the incident and clarified that the content did not align with the institution’s values and they have taken immediate action to address the issue and prevent a reoccurrence.
